Who the Valor is for
The Valor sits between the open-arm Legend and the fully enclosed Salute. A half cassette shelters the roller and fabric when the awning is closed while the arms stay outside it. Its signature feature is the manufacturer’s patented tipping system, which lets the pitch be adjusted anywhere from 5° to 45° without acting on the cassette — useful when an awning has to clear a door head or shed rain a particular way.

Pitch set at the bracket
The manufacturer’s patented tipping system adjusts the inclination from 5° to 45° without touching the cassette. If your awning needs to clear a door or throw water a certain way, that is set right at the bracket.
Half cassette
The cassette shelters the roller and fabric between uses while leaving the arms outside it — the middle ground between the Legend’s open assembly and the Salute’s full enclosure.
Steel square bar
A 1.57 inch galvanized and painted steel square bar carries the load, with folding belt arms. A different construction from the extruded-aluminum lines, and a solid one.

Folding-arm, half-cassette system
The Valor is a folding-arm awning on a 1.57 inch galvanized and painted steel square bar, with a half cassette and belt arms.

The manufacturer’s patented tipping system allows the awning’s inclination to be adjusted without acting on the cassette itself.

Available projections
Projections of 6′ 11″, 8′ 6″, 10′ 2″, and 11′ 9″. The Legend carries the longer 13′ 5″ projection — if your space needs more than 11′ 9″, the Legend is the one.

Projection sets a minimum width
With one pair of arms, each projection sets a minimum awning width: 8′ 5″ at 6′ 11″, 10′ 1″ at 8′ 6″, 11′ 8″ at 10′ 2″, and 13′ 4″ at 11′ 9″. A narrower opening means a shorter projection or a second pair of arms. We confirm this against your opening at the estimate.

Cassette envelope
The wall configuration measures 8.74 inches deep from the wall by 8.58 inches high. On a tight fit we double-check these against the manufacturer’s current drawing before we order.

A half-cassette option between the open-arm Legend and the full-cassette Salute, with a pitch adjustment neither of the others offers. Which of the three suits your home comes down to how exposed the wall is, how you want it to look closed, and the projection your opening allows.
