Most of the cost of a stationary awning is the metal frame — the welding, the engineering, the lead time on steel. A recover reuses the frame you already own, so you pay for fabric and craftsmanship, not a second frame.

Free on-site assessment
We look at your existing frames and fabric, talk through what you want — same look or something new — and give you an honest recommendation: recover, repair, or replace.
Measure & pattern
We measure on your building or bring your frames into the shop, then pattern the new cover from how the original was made — mounting, clearances, and all.
Sew, rehab & re-hang
Your cover is cut and sewn in-house while the frame gets any needed rehab — rust treatment, paint, hardware. Then we install it back on your building.

Recovering questions, answered
Is recovering an awning cheaper than replacing it?
Usually, yes — significantly. Most of the price of a new stationary awning is the metal frame and the labor to weld and engineer it. A recover reuses your existing frame, so you pay for the new cover and any frame rehab it actually needs. If the frame is beyond saving, we’ll tell you — we build new awnings too, so you get a straight recommendation either way.
Can I change the look of my awning with a recover?
Yes. A recover is the moment to change fabric, color, or style — add a tracked-on valance, printed graphics, or switch to a standing-seam fabric for an architectural metal look — all on your existing frame.
What happens to my frame during a recover?
It gets inspected and rehabbed as needed: rust spots treated, paint touched up, hardware replaced, and individual bent or damaged bars swapped. You’re not getting the same tired frame back — and if it’s in great shape, we simply recover it as-is.
Will the new cover fit my building the way the old one did?
Yes. We duplicate how your original cover mounted to the building — clearances included — from the cover itself. If we see a better way to do it, we’ll suggest one, but the choice is always yours.
How long does a recover take?
Much less time than building a new awning — there’s no welding, engineering, or waiting on steel. Your cover is patterned and sewn in our own Manchester shop, so turnaround depends mainly on fabric availability and the season. We’ll give you a real schedule at your free assessment.
Do you recover residential awnings too?
Yes — homes and businesses. If your stationary awning’s frame is in decent shape, it’s a recover candidate whether it shades a storefront or a back patio. Not sure what you have? Ask at the assessment, or just send us a photo.
What fabrics can I choose from?
